Baptism
Congratulations to the parents! New life gives promise and hope, but also brings responsibilities. St. Bernadette’s Parish shares that responsibility with them. And we pray that our words and actions may lead these newly baptised children to the wonder of God's love for them.

We pledge our prayer and support to the parents and families who have been gifted with these children.

The Baptism process

Interview with the Parish Priest and attend a Baptism Preparation Session

Parents must live within the parish. If they belong to another parish and want their child baptised at St. Bernadette’s Church they must obtain a letter of permission from their own parish. Canon Law of the Church requires that one of the godparents is at least 16 years old, a confirmed Catholic and in good standing with the Church.
