What is Confirmation ?

Confirmation, which is the fourth of seven sacraments, gives the individual the chance to renew their commitment to the Catholic faith in a personal way, something which in the case of a young person has, up to this point been formally undertaken by their parents and godparents. Confirmation also gives them the chance to think seriously about their relationship with God and their neighbour, to recieve the Holy Spirit and become an adult member of the church.
