There are three persons involved in every marriage, the bride, the bridegroom and God. Marriage is in God’s plan! Marriage preparation is all about unpacking this special sacrament of God’s love, and requires a just and thorough preparation. Adequate time must be set aside for what will be a lifetime commitment.
Marriage preparation begins with a meeting with the Parish Priest. He will discuss with the couple their freedom to marry in accordance with the laws of the Church and advise them of the steps they must take to fulfil church and state requirements.
The Parish participates in the local Marriage Care programme, and the engaged couple will be encouraged to join the next course. |
